Blaise Douros, Post Production Assistant
Blaise was born and raised a California native, and learned to swim before he learned to walk. Despite this setback, he learned to be comfortable enough on land to learn the basics of production by tagging along to his dad’s shoots and editing sessions. By his late teens, he had acted and voice-acted in nationally-aired commercials for Promise Keepers and the Billy Graham Association, worked as a compositing and color correction technician for The Media Collection stock library, and contributed footage to the same. Blaise began to develop his musical skills in his high school choir, singing in premieres of Howard Hersh’s operetta “The History Lesson,” as premiere soloist for Mark Vance’s work “Glory Train,” touring Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Germany, singing for Pope John Paul II, and taking 1st place in the Vienna Youth Music Competition. Blaise attended St. Olaf College, in Northfield, MN. There, he sang in the prestigious St. Olaf Choir, performing in such high-profile venues as Carnegie Hall, Disney’s Los Angeles auditorium, Heinz Hall, and the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway for a PBS feature, as well as performing for world leaders including the President of the United States and the King and Queen of Norway. Blaise also returned to the water as an NCAA DIII springboard diver, and in addition to coaching the local high school team, he placed consistently in the top 5 at championship meets. After college, Blaise co-created the concept and interaction design of MyFreepath.com, a social networking website for users of Freepath, a software package aimed at multimedia presentation and content sharing.
