Daniella Russo, Social Activation
Daniella Russo brings over 25 years of executive management within Fortune-100 companies, high-tech startups, and philanthropic NGOs.
Daniella is a serial entrepreneur. Most recently, she helped start PlanetStop, a public information access network for people on the go. In 1999, she started Mindzone, whose client list includes Fortune-100 companies, high-tech startups and consumer brands. At Mindzone, she developed the principle of high-tech keiretsu as key for success in a crowded marketplace. Previously, Daniella helped to start Internet pioneer Infoseek, as well as desktop publishing leader Frame Technology.
Prior to that, at Sun Microsystems, she led a team of scientists, technologists, engineers and end-users from a broad spectrum of companies to formulate next generation intelligent networks. Prior to that, she led the development of natural language analysis applications for intelligent search and retrieval at Xerox PARC. Daniella actively discovers and sponsors emerging artists from Eastern Europe; is President of the Board of Silicon Valley Visual Arts; and is a director of the Board of Society of Local Artists. As part of the new generation of philanthropists who pursue active involvement with the organizations they support, Daniella is committed to creating opportunities for Sea Studios Foundation to benefit from the collective wisdom of its financial supporters. Daniella holds a Masters degree in English Philology from the University of Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria and has studied marketing at the London School of Economics. She speaks Bulgarian, Russian, and Italian. |
